10 Truly Disgusting Facts About Ancient Roman Life

Ancient Rome holds a mythic place in our imaginations. It’s the land of historical epics like Ben-Hur and Gladiator, where men in golden armor ride chariots and emperors are fed grapes in reclining chairs. Real life in Rome, though, was quite a bit less glamorous. In a time before modern sanitation and medicine, getting through an average day was a difficult task—and far more disgusting than you could ever imagine. 10 People Washed Their Mouths Out With Urine In ancient Rome, pee was such big business that the government had special taxes in place just for urine sales. There were people who made their living just from collecting urine. Some would gather it at public urinals. Others went door-to-door

Hillary Clinton Tells Jimmy Kimmel She's 'Embarrassed' by 'Boring' Emails

Hillary Clinton took on two controversial topics in a late-night interview on ABC's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' on Monday.
First, Kimmel quizzed the Democratic presidential candidate about news that broke earlier in the day of the release of additional emails from the time she served as secretary of state.
"The state department said that they have to release 15,000 emails by the deadline is a couple of days before the debate," Kimmel said. "Are you concerned about that?"
"No," Clinton responded. "Jimmy my emails are so boring. And I’m embarrassed about that. They’re so boring. So we’ve already released, I don’t know, 30,000 plus so what’s a few more."
When Kimmel asked Clinton about the rumors swirling about her health, she offered up her hand and said "take my pulse."
Kimmel agreed as Clinton explained "to make sure I’m alive." That's when Kimmel took her hand and gasped telling the audience "oh my god there’s nothing there."
Clinton played off Kimmel's words, implying that the stories are baseless. "With every breath I take, I feel like it's a new lease on life," Clinton quipped sarcastically.
Last week during a speech about terrorism, Donald Trump said the former secretary of state “lacks the mental and physical stamina to take on” ISIS. Trump also went after the length of Clinton's speeches, saying she'd rather "go back home and go to sleep."
Donald Trump surrogate Rudy Giuliani continued that attack on Fox News Sunday when he told the audience to “go online and put down Hillary Clinton Illness and take a look at the videos for yourself.”
Clinton called the Republican nominee's health attack a "wacky strategy" and chalked it up to the "crazy things," said by Trump and his allies.
"It absolutely makes no sense," Clinton said. "I don’t go around questioning Donald Trump's health. I mean as far as I can tell, he’s as healthy as a horse."
At one point during the interview, Kimmel asked Clinton to open a jar of pickles to prove how healthy she is.
The two also discussed how the former former first lady was preparing to debate the billionaire businessman.
Clinton told the late-night host "I’m planning on drawing off my experiences from elementary school.”

Runtown Dragged To Court By Record Label, EricMany

runtown
Fast rising act, Runtown has been dragged to court by his record lable Ericmany. The full press release from EricMany states:
A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has slammed an injunction against the rising musical artiste Douglas Jack-Agu aka “Runtown“. The injunction prevents him from performing at any event or any form of recording for the time being unless with the approval of Ericmany Limited.
Runtown is signed under the Ericmany Entertainment label that presently holds the copyright to all his music. He was sued in the Federal High Court by Ericmany on allegations that he signs up, concludes and attends musical shows without the knowledge of the label.
Ericmany Entertainment was said to have invested millions of naira on Runtown. However trouble started when Runtown apparently with the connivance of Bug Mediaran by one Bugwu Aneto began to sideline Ericmany and collected money directly for shows without the knowledge of Ericmany. Bug Media is also a party to the court case.
In another twist of events, the management of Ericmany has sacked the said Bugwu Aneto as General Manager of the company for infractions which might not be unconnected with his alleged connivance with Runtown to shortchange the Label Ericamany.
Our reporter learnt that all inquiries about the artiste and bookings for shows would no longer be through Aneto but through the management of Ericmany.
It is not clear how the young artiste is reacting to the court case and injunction. Observers suggest he was misled by Bugwu, the former General Manager of Ericmany to ditch his boss and benefactor Ericmany, and may now that the chips are down find ways to go back and reconcile with the Ericmany.

Real Madrid Transfer News: Neymar Sr. Addresses Los Blancos Speculation
Manu Fernandez/Associated Press
Neymar's father has all but ruled out the possibility of the Barcelona star ever making the move to rivals Real Madrid after claiming such a switch "would end his image."
Joaquim Piera of Spanish daily Sport provided quotes from Neymar Sr., who compared the rivalry between Corinthians and his son's former club, Santos, with that of Real and Barcelona: "Neymar could never go to Corinthians because it would end his career, for the fact that his image was built at Santos and with the titles he won with the club. It's the same now if he went to Real Madrid."
Francisco Seco/Associated Press
Neymar is reportedly set to sign a new Barcelona contract.
According to Piera, Neymar Sr. made the address at the Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI) while addressing the current state of Brazilian football, which was nationally televised in his native Brazil.
The report coincided with ongoing reports that Neymar is set to pen an extension at the Camp Nou, and the Mirror's Ed Malyon recently reinforced the notion he'll soon sign new terms with the Spanish champions:
Keeping the 24-year-old at the club undoubtedly sits as one of Barca's highest priorities at present, and Piera added the forward is "happy, and he feels valued in the Catalan capital."
It's little wonder Neymar is so treasured by this season's Primera Division and Copa del Rey double-winners, considering the creative powerhouse he's become since moving to Europe in 2013, as detailed by Squawka:
